新音乐课程标准提出的价值在于:为学生提供审美体验,陶冶情操,启迪智慧;开发创造性发展潜能,提升创造力;传承民族优秀文化,增进对世界音乐文化丰富性和多样性的认识和理解;促进人际交往、情感沟通及和谐社会的构建。但是,音乐作为一门艺术学科,具有很强的思想性。不同的音乐风格有其鲜明的个性和不同的受众人群。中小学学生随着年龄的不断增长,他们的思维逐渐成熟,对于音乐的理解已有自己的看法。若将所有条款式的音乐教育方式强加于他们也未必会收到良好的效果,同时也失去了音乐本身的意义。

It would not necessarily be good to impose all of the musical styles of the terms on them, at the same time losing the meaning of the music itself.
