网络技术,尤其是Internet技术的巨大飞跃,使信息技术产业从以计算机为中心过渡到以网络为中心的方向发展。全球性网络使当今成千上万台个人电脑与工作站变成可为全球共享的庞大的计算资源。开放系统的发展可让用户透明地应用由不同厂商制造的不同机型、不同运行平台组成的异构型计算资源,从而提出了应用集成与分布式处理的要求,即在千差万别的信息资源(异构的、网络的、物理性能差别很大的、不同厂商和不同语言的信息资源)的基础上构造起信息共享的分布式系统,并能有效地实现应用系统与分布式处理的集成。正是在这一背景下,我们提出了“对象技术与分布式计算”这个专题。 分布式计算既是一种新的计算模式,又是支持信息化社会的基础性技术。对象技术是当今信息技术中的热点之一,它不仅给软件的维护、重用、可靠性、质量、与生产率带来极大的帮助,而且它的分布式面向对象计算又是分布式计算技术中的一个重要分支,这二方面技术相辅相成,成为制造、获取、应用各类信息资源与开发大型应用系统的关键技术和基础框架。我们计算机软件专业委员会,从学习、了解当前主流的软件技术和推进信息技术的应用出发,组织了这个专题。本专题包括:“未来的分布式计算”、“分布式对象计算标准CORBA”,及“软构件标准”三篇文
