聚丙烯酰胺(PAM)是山丙烯酰胺合成的中性、水溶性的、非离子型线性高分子化合物.在泥浆中是很好的有机絮凝剂.但加入泥浆后失水大,使用时往往需要加入CMC等失水降低剂控制失水,同时它对井壁坍塌的抑制作用也是有限的.据资料介绍,PAM与甲醛(HCHO)、亚硫酸氢钠(NaHSO_3)在一定条件下反应,将次甲磺酸钠引入到聚丙烯酰胺的分子链节上,即可得到水溶性的、阴离子型的磺甲基聚丙烯酰胺.室内实验初步证明:它具有降失水、防止页岩坍塌的能力,是一种良好的泥浆稳定剂.
