Breast lumps are more common clinically, and it is important to determine the nature of the lumps in time for treatment. As the Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) is simple, safe, and invasive, it has been widely used in clinical practice and has become one of the main methods for the qualitative examination of breast masses. This study reviewed the diagnostic value of FNAC screening for breast cancer. 1 Materials and methods 1.1 Materials We collected 1,115 samples of breast tumors from FNAC in our department from January 1987 to December 1998. After operation, 352 cases were confirmed by histopathology, accounting for 31.6%, including 151 cases of malignant lesions.
