This article reports the retrospective investigation of 13 young workers who had exposure to methyldiamine in an industrial enterprise from 1966 to 1972. Ten to five and a half years after the patient recovered, the patient’s medical history was obtained from the physician and interviewed and examined (none of them). In addition, a random sample of 21 workers from the same factory working without a history of hepatitis was interviewed and examined in the same manner. The contact conditions and toxicity data on methyl diphenylamine (hereinafter referred to as MDA) were collected and the animal toxicity test was carried out by the relevant units. Thirteen patients, 20 to 36 years old, had no history of hepatobiliary disease or allergy, no alcohol or other medication, and no viral hepatitis
