就２２个杂交组合的产量性状和品质性状等，测定了平均优势和对照优势。２２个组合Ｆ；单株皮棉产量平均优势有２１个组合为正向优势，对照优势有１９个为正向优势，其中中棉１１７×泗棉２号和中棉１２×鲁３３８９平均优势为５０．２３％和３９．７７％，对照优势为３７．１９％和３５．５４％，达到极显著水平。根据单株皮棉产量测定了１１个亲本的一般配合力和２２个组合的特殊配合力。１１个亲本一般配合力为正向效应的有５个，其中较高的有中棉１２、鲁３３８９和徐州１８４，依次为１．４３５、１．３４０和１．２９５。２２个组合中有１２个组合的特殊配合力为正向效应，其中较高的有中棉３７８×豫棉４号、中棉１１７×泗棉２号和中棉３７８×华农８４０７，依次为３．１０９、２．９０３和２．５５９。
