This paper briefly introduces the basic principles and methods of grey multi-objective situation decision-making, and applies this method to the selection of a basic underpinning scheme for a practical project. It is illustrated that adopting grey multi-objective situation decision-making method to optimize the basic underpinning scheme can avoid one-sidedness and artificiality. It provides an effective way to scientifically select optimal solutions.
