石文化与吴文化有着千丝万缕的联系。石文化以吴文化为源,江南水乡的农耕文明孕育了石器时代,即石文化的肇始;石文化以吴文化为涵,两者在内涵上是相通的,都是中国传统道文化的延展;石文化以吴文化为流,吴地的绘画、书法、诗歌、建筑、工艺等各个领域与石文化密切相关;石文化以吴文化为脉,在中华五千年历史长河中,吴地的时代变迁同时都伴随着特定石种的兴衰,从良渚石器到鸿山玉璜,从魏晋雨花石到唐宋昆石,再到明清园林太湖石的风靡。因此,吴地就是石文化的最重要的起源地、最适宜的传承地和最精彩的繁荣地。

Therefore, Wu land is the most important origin of stone culture, the most appropriate place of inheritance and the most wonderful prosperity.
