Although meningiomas are common tumors in adults,the chordoid variant is very rare.According to theWorld Health Organization Classification of Tumors ofthe Nervous System(Lyon,2000),chordoid meningiomatogether with another rare variant,lymphoplasmacyte-rich meningioma,usually contain abundantlymphoplasmacytic infiltration,and are associated evenwith hematological abnormalities,especially in youngadults.Few cases of chordoid meningioma have beenreported in detail until Couce and his colleagues reporteda sizable series of forty-two cases.Even then,the clinicaland pathological features of these tumors were not wellcharacterized,because of variations in different papers.Inthe present article,we report two adult patients withchordoid meningioma.
