Id1属于4种Id蛋白质(Id1~4)的家族,是螺旋-环-螺旋(HLH)家族转录因子的成员。Id蛋白被称为“DNA结合抑制剂”。目前,T2DM胰岛β细胞功能障碍的有关分子机制仍未明确,但在糖尿病小鼠的胰岛中,以及胰岛β细胞功能障碍的体外模型中已经发现HLH蛋白Id1的表达有所增加。为了解Id1对胰岛素分泌和葡萄糖稳态的作用,Mia C.kerfeldt和D.Ross Laybutt进行了相关研究,结果发现,Id1缺失小鼠高脂饲料喂养后未发生糖尿病,且体内外胰岛β细胞功能增强。现将相关研究和评论的精华部分编译如下,与广大读者共享。
Id1 belongs to the family of four Id proteins (Id1-4) and is a member of the helix-loop-helix (HLH) family of transcription factors. Id protein is called “DNA binding inhibitor ”.
