随着改革开放程度的不断提高与我国经济的蓬勃发展,制造业大国对技术工人的英语水平尤其是专业英语水平的要求越来越高。这就要求职业技术院校在培养现代型的技术工人时应注重专业英语教授,使他们具备一定的对英文资料的阅读并运用的能力。中等职业技术院校在专业英语教学中无论教材、学生以及教学方法都有着其自身的特点,同时也应意识到专业英语教学的确面临着几个较为突出的问题。本文会对中等职业技术院校的专业英语教学的现状进行剖析,同时根据多年专业英语的教学经验提出几点对其进行改革的建议。
With the continuous improvement of the reform and opening up and the vigorous development of our economy, the requirements of the major manufacturing countries for the English proficiency of skilled workers, especially the professional English, are getting higher and higher. This requires vocational and technical colleges and universities in the cultivation of modern skilled workers should focus on professional English professors, so that they have a certain degree of English reading and use of information ability. Regardless of teaching materials, students and teaching methods, secondary vocational and technical colleges have their own characteristics in professional English teaching. At the same time, it should be realized that professional English teaching is indeed faced with several prominent problems. This article will analyze the status quo of professional English teaching in secondary vocational and technical colleges, and put forward some suggestions on how to reform it according to many years of professional English teaching experience.
