Chiang Tan was a famous writer in Qiantang (Hangzhou) during the late Qing dynasty. In the Xianfeng years, the Taiping army pitched to Wang Jingzeng, a friend of Huangshan in Cixi, before entering the city of Hangzhou. He wrote the first draft of the book Huangshan Xiaoshan and recorded the history of Huangshan village scenery and Wang family. After Wang Wang Ren Wang clan wrote on this basis, “Continuation of Huangshan small Zhi”, and Jiang Tan’s first draft combined, collectively referred to as “Huangshan Xiaoshi.” “Huangshan Xiao Zhi” uses the method of taking notes to record the customs of Huangshan villages in east Zhejiang, concise and profound, which is unique; but there are many deficiencies in the collection of personal records and information collection. As a whole, after all, an excellent village miniature village poem has been handed down so far, retaining the lifeblood and nostalgia of the Huangshan village and enlightening modern scholars with a great deal of enlightenment.
