2001年8月,宁波市委市政府成立东钱湖旅游度假区管委会。2012年是东钱湖成为国家级旅游度假区试点单位的第一年、实施“十二五”规划的关键年。全年全区实现地区生产总值39.1亿元,同比增长13%;全社会固定资产投资55亿元,同比增长19.5%;游客量340万人次、旅游总收入21亿元,同比分别增长5%、23%;财政收入9.5亿元,同比减少17%。
In August 2001, Ningbo municipal government set up Dongqian Lake Holiday Resort Management Committee. 2012 is the first year that Dongqian Lake has become a pilot unit of a national tourist resort and the key year for implementing the “Twelfth Five-year Plan”. The whole region realized a GDP of 3.91 billion yuan, an increase of 13% over the same period of last year. The total social investment in fixed assets was 5.5 billion yuan, up by 19.5% over the same period of the previous year. The number of tourists was 3.4 million and the total tourism revenue was 2.1 billion yuan, up 5% , 23%; fiscal revenue 950 million yuan, a decrease of 17%.
