It is well-known that drinking milk helps strengthen bones. In fact, milk also benefits the health of the brain. A new study in the United States found that drinking three glasses of milk daily can prevent dementia and Parkinson’s disease. The researchers came to this conclusion by studying 60 adults. First, the researchers asked the participating volunteers for a few days before their diet and then scanned their brains to monitor antioxidant levels. The results showed that those who recently drank milk, and those who were closer to drinking three cups of milk a day, had a higher level of antioxidants in their brains called glutathione.
