最近几年来柴油机技术有了很大发展,特别是采用了脉冲增压,充分发挥了废气中的潜在能量。为了进一步提高柴油机的功率,采用了两级增压,但是在采用二级增压之前,必须分析一下哪种增压方式达到的压比高、可靠性好,尤其是涡轮叶片的可靠性要好。研究的结果是多脉冲增压的效果最好,定压增压最经济。提高柴油机的性能要求进一步提高增压压力。可能只有采用二级增压才能达到这个要求。初步的研究表明,平均有效压力25~30公斤/厘米,是可以实现的,相当于活塞单位面积功率80马力/分米~2。采用预燃室或者把压缩比降到10以下就可以改善燃烧过程,降低最高爆发压力即降低总的机械应力从而方便了这种大功率柴油机的生产。然而在目前世界的经济形势下,压缩比不能降低得太多,以便把燃油消耗率的增加控制在2—3克/ 马力·小时之内
