针对非洲尼日尔河流域生态系统不断退化以及贫困问题日益严重的现状,世界银行启动了该河流域水资源开发和生态系统管理项目,旨在通过水资源开发和生态保护,解决流域各国缺水、农业灌溉、用电需求等各方面的问题,达到流域经济社会可持续发展的目的。此外,重点回顾了非洲水资源开发与管理的历程。
In response to the deteriorating ecosystems in Africa’s Niger River Basin and the worsening poverty, the World Bank initiated the project on water resources development and ecosystem management in the river basin to solve the problems of water shortage and agriculture in the basin countries through water resources development and ecological protection Irrigation, electricity demand and other issues, to achieve the purpose of sustainable economic and social development of the basin. In addition, the history of water resources development and management in Africa is highlighted.
