While we cheer for the progress of democracy, we have unfortunately seen that even in Zhejiang, where grassroots democracy has evolved to a system of innovation, there are still bribery choices that we once thought would exist only in the poorest regions. What is even more unfortunate is that progress is still entangled with the blood of the electorate and the candidate in the villages where a handful of former evil forces have used “violence and democracy” to refer to the village administration. This reality reminds us that democracy really is not accomplished in one day and that democracy will not come overnight in the face of the urgency of our mood. Once upon a time, such a view of democracy was considered by a handful of radical or radical people as a “leftist” point of refusing to return democracy and people. Excluding the subjective feudal consciousness of a very small number of extremely left-wing people from the economically developed Zhejiang countryside and objectively examining our reality, we find that such a democratic outlook is based on realistic and rational judgments.
