增大列检作业间距,延长列检安全保障区段,是提高铁路列车运行速度和运输效率的主要方法之一。西欧各国列检作业大多采用站检和“周”检方式,美国等国家列检作业是以终到检查为主。我国铁路列检作业间距设置从建国初期至今经历了四个阶段,现已明确提出了列检作业间距设置标准。针对影响我国铁路列检作业间距设置的诸多制约因素,提出延长列检作业间距的主要工作内容和设想是:根据检查对象的分类,调整作业组织结构和检查范围;利用信息化手段对车辆进行动态监控;研究和探索长大且固定编组的循环车组和青藏铁路1000km以上的列检作业间距设置模式;开展铁路车辆配件的可靠性研究。
