Objective To retrospectively study the effects of 50% and 75% reduction of radiation dose on the sensitivity and specificity of urinary calculi detected by CT. Methods The study was approved by the Ethics Committee and conforms to HIPAA, eliminating written consent. The original CT data of 47 patients (24 males, 23 females, mean age 46.0 years) with low back pain and plain scan CT were collected. The original CT examination was performed using an automated radiometric adjustment system using simulation software to adjust the original tube current to 100%, 50%, and 25%, reconstructing the raw CT data under these conditions, with tube currents of 177, 88, 44 mA .
