后进生,指的是那些在德、智、体、美等方面没有达到预定目标的潜能生。作为学生个体,后进生这个定义是相对的,也是暂时的。后进生类似于社会中的“弱势群体”,理应得到教师更多的关注、爱护与引导。作为教育者,我们应当清醒地看到,后进生是在后天的生活与学习环境中形成的,他既不是天生的差,也不是永久的差,而差与好、优与劣本就是相对存在的,更是可以转化的。我们还应看到,所谓“尺有所短,寸有所长”,每一个后进生都有着这样或那样的优点,而这个优点,往往就是转变差生的突破口。抓住了这个突破口,我们完全有可能尽快把一个后进生培养成一个合格的、优秀的学生。
