In recent years, some advanced foreign countries have widely adopted plastic film ground covering technical measures. Japan used 22,500 tons of plastic to cover horticultural (including tobacco) ground in 1973 and covered a wide range of crops including cash crops such as vegetables, melons, fruit trees, tobacco, peanuts and soybeans, field crops such as rice and corn Film is also covered. The area covered by plastic film in Japan increased from 22,000 hectares in 1968 to 97,000 hectares in 1973, an increase of 3.4 times. The United States used a variety of cover films on farmland, such as specialized coverings for seedlings, ground cover to protect seeds against soil erosion, and polyolefin films that could supply soil nutrients. In 1973, the United States covered 45,000 tons of plastic film . Western European countries, such as Italy, also had earlier coverage of films with higher economic value such as pineapple, strawberry, coffee and tobacco. Many foreign studies have made studies on the ground-covered films. The types of covering films are increasing. In addition to the single-sided or double-sided films of various colors, there are many special films such as apertured films, network films and grass-killing films.
