《圣女贞德传》是美国著名作家马克·吐温的经典名作,小说是以德·孔泰的叙述描绘了圣女贞德的故事。从表面上来看,《圣女贞德传》是一部关于圣女贞德的传记小说,但作者真正描述的是德·孔泰的心理路程,从天真到最后顿悟的过程。在小说中还有非常重要的一个部分,那就是仙女树。文中的仙女树具有多重的象征意义:一是象征着大自然的力量;二是德·孔泰与作者精神家园的寄托。
The biography of Joan of Arc is a classic masterpiece of the famous American writer Mark Twain. The novel depicts the story of Joan of Arc by the narration of Conotry. On the face of it, the biography of Joan of Arc is a biographical novel about Joan of Arc, but what the author really describes is De Conte’s psychological journey, from innocence to the final epiphany. In the novel there is a very important part, that is fairy tree. The fairy tree in the article has multiple symbolic meanings: one is the symbol of the power of nature; the other is the dedication of De Conte and his spiritual home.
