Taking the novel in literary works as an example, this article lists several kinds of foregrounding methods indispensable to its creation, gives corresponding examples and analyzes them. Finally, the conclusion is drawn that foregrounding can make the language more poetic and make the whole literature full of color. It is a major feature of literary language that inspires readers’ interest in the work.
