2000年10月教育部颁发的《中小学信息技术课程指导纲要(试行)》中规定,初中信息技术课程的目标是使学生具有获取信息、传输信息、处理信息和应用信息的能力,负责任地使用信息技术;培养学生良好的信息素养,把信息技术作为支持终身学习和合作学习的手段,为适应信息社会的学习、工作和生活打下必要的基础。运用分组讨论来提升信息技术课堂上学生的自主学习能力是转变教学方式的一种策略。学生的自主学习能力,是在常规的课堂教学过程中,学生在已有的知识和技能的基础上,在不断获取新知识并运用这些知识的活动中所表现出来的智力和非智力因素的本领;是学生根据自己的学习能力、学习任务的要求,积极主动地调整学习策略和努力程度的过程,在这一学习过程中,学生能学会与人分享、与人交流、与人探讨,达到一种终身学习的意识。
