广西战役从1949年11月6日开始,至12月14日结束,历时39天。是役全歼白崇禧集团,解放全广西。战役的胜利,除了全国战场我军处于战略进攻,国民党军兵败如山倒的总形势影响外,更重要的是我军依具体情况,制定和实施合乎战役地区实际的作战行动,广西地方党及武装的密切配合和人民的支援,从而造成了白崇禧集团在广西老巢注定失败的命运。
