现代战争中,随着反炮兵侦察和火力能力的增强,炮兵的生存能力受到越来越严峻的挑战。为完成作战使命,炮兵被要求具有快速反应能力、准确打击能力和较强的生存能力。据国外资料显示,这种能力主要指的是:在3分钟内,火炮可以进入阵地并发射5~6发炮弹(155毫米口径火炮),准确命中目标后能快速撤出阵地。显然,牵引式火炮是无力达成上述要求的。实际上,尽管牵引式火炮在压制火炮家族中仍占有一席之地并能在某些战斗中发挥作用,但人们早已将目光转向了自行式榴弹炮的发展。
In modern warfare, with the enhancement of anti-artillery reconnaissance and firepower capabilities, the survivability of artillery has been challenged more and more seriously. In order to complete the operational mission, artillery was required to have quick reaction capability, accurate strike capability and strong survivability. According to foreign sources, this ability mainly means that in 3 minutes, the artillery can enter the position and launch 5-6 rounds of artillery shells (155 mm caliber artillery), which can be rapidly withdrawn from the position after accurately hitting the target. Obviously, traction artillery is unable to meet the above requirements. In fact, while trailed artillery still holds a place in the suppressed artillery family and can play a role in some battles, people have long turned their attention to the development of self-propelled howitzers.
