大多数体育教师,由于在体育教学和课余训练上的专长及出色工作,他们的业绩正在被其他学科所认同,甚至少数学校还因突出的体育特色与传统而使本校名声远扬。但相比其他学科而言,体育教师的“科研软肋”则较为明显,这在很大程度上已影响到体育教师的个人成才与可持续发展,也严重制约体育学科的建设发展及在学校的学科地位。近6年多的中小学体育课程改革实践表明,尽管有体育新课标本身的设计缺陷和本次课程改革准备不足等诸多原因,造成了课改中不少问题,但也有相当多的体育教师由于观念陈旧、教学研究不足,很难从过去的“按部就班照着大纲教”的模式中跳出来,难以适应体育新课程改革的新观念新要求,难以根据不同教学目标去自主地探索性地选择教材,合理加工教材,科学设计教学程序方法和灵活评价教学效果,其本质是教师的研究基础与创新能力的缺乏。
