2001年02月08日,近200名通过公开招考录取的中国国际职员后备人员,与美国等37个国家的人员一起,参加联合国举办的国家竞争考试,以谋求获得在联合国秘书处工作的机会。 参加本次考试的人员在此之前都是经过选拔的。他们当中有政府公务员、外企员工,也有在读研究生和事业单位的科研人员,其中女性人数略多于男性,留学归国人员约占30％的比例。 联合国国家竞争考试是联合国从会员国招收初级职员的一种招聘方法。根据各成员国在联合国秘书处任职的情况,联合国每年二月份选择部分国家举行竞争考试。通过国家竞争考试者将获得应聘联合国职位的资格。 参加2001年度联合国国家竞争考试的国家包括中国、美国、日本、德国等38个国家,考试在北京、纽约、日内瓦等27个考点同时举行。参加考试的报考人员应具备相关专业大学本科以上学历,能够流利自如地使用英语
On February 08, 2001, nearly 200 PRC reserve staff recruited through open recruitment examination participated in the UN-sponsored national competition exams with personnel from 37 countries such as the United States to seek opportunities in the UN Secretariat. The people who took this exam have been selected before. Among them are government civil servants, foreign workers, as well as researchers studying for graduate students and public institutions. The number of women is slightly more than that of men and the proportion of returned overseas students is about 30%. The UN National Competitive Examination is a recruitment method for recruiting junior staff from Member States. According to member states serving in the UN Secretariat, the UN chooses some countries to hold competition exams every February. Candidates who pass the national competition will be eligible for a position in the United Nations. The countries participating in the 2001 UN National Competitive Examination include 38 countries such as China, the United States, Japan, Germany and the like. Examinations are held simultaneously at 27 test centers in Beijing, New York and Geneva. Candidates for the exam should have a bachelor degree or above in a relevant professional field and be fluent in English
