Marine radiochronology is a branch of isotopic geology. It mainly uses natural radionuclides: ~ (230) Th, ~ (231) Pa, ~ (234) U, ~ (238) U, ~ (232) Th, ~ (226) Ra, ~ , ~ (14) C to determine the age of coral reef, oolitic, marine mud and mollusk shells, and to determine the rate of accumulation of manganese nodules and marine sediments; to study the vertical and spatial distribution of radioactive elements in seawater, suspended solids and sediments Discuss the existent forms and sedimentation mechanism of radioactive elements and isotopes, explain the source of marine materials and explore the causes of manganese nodules.
