1936年3月,孔令侃召集圣约翰大学同学沈震百等人在上海成立南尖社。全面抗战爆发前,该社表面以学术研究为志趣,实质成为孔令侃为今后事业发展打造的小班底。上海沦陷后,该社以香港为基地,参与了孔祥熙与孔令侃负责的一系列秘密活动。除在对日交涉和中德易货贸易中承担联络和事务工作之外,南尖社的使命还包括对日、对英情报收集和组织暗杀附敌分子。1939年被香港政府查处。
In March 1936, Kong Lingkang called a classmate of St. John’s University Shen Zhen Bai et al. To set up a southern tip club in Shanghai.
