10月中下旬,中共浙江省委外宣办邀请中国外文局的5位外国专家去该省考察采访。10天时间,专家们走访了省会杭州、竹乡安吉、古镇南浔、历史文化名城绍兴以及千岛湖畔的建德,亲眼见到了改革开放给浙江省的经济、文化、旅游以及人民生活等各方面带来的变化。他们正把自己的所见所闻陆续撰写成文,这里先刊登中国大学出版社的美籍专家费斯特·斯托克威尔先生的文章,以飧读者。
In late mid-October, the CCP’s Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee announced that it invited five foreign experts from the Chinese Foreign Affairs Bureau to visit and interview the province. During the 10 days, the experts visited the capital cities of Hangzhou, Anji Township in Zhuxiang, Nanxun Township in the ancient town, Shaoxing, a historic and cultural city, and Jiande on the banks of the Thousand Island Lake. They witnessed the reform and opening up to the economic, cultural, tourist and people’s livelihoods in Zhejiang Province Coming change. They are now writing what they have read and written, starting with the article by Mr. Fest Stockwell, a Chinese expert at China University Press, to readers.
