According to Morris, the historian of the United States, the reason why the United States enjoyed exclusive possession of the Philippines after the U.S.-West War was that the external reason was that the powers held their own sidelines during the war. Therefore, the United States realized its own in a fairly peaceful international environment purpose. This article criticizes this view based on historical data. Historical facts have proved that the imperialist powers have always had a strong ambition to occupy the Philippines. However, the mutual contention and mutual restraint of the powers during the “U.S.-West War” have once again demonstrated that the United States has created favorable conditions for international domination over the Philippines. Once again, imperialism is war.
