The idea for this process is derived from powder metallurgy and was developed by the University of Swansea in England in the 1960s. The method comprises two process steps: one is to use an affective gas to atomize the liquid metal beam; the other is to use the kinetic energy and heat energy of the atomizer to form the atomized particles on the carrier.
