读了1991年11月11日《北京日报》二版上的一条消息,题为《市中医医院成为全国“杏林示范医院”》。消息中写道:“市中医医院最近被国家中医局命名为全国‘杏林示范医院’”,对其中的“杏林”二字感到迷惑不解。于是,找出《辞海》查到“杏林”二字。原来,这是一个典故,相传三国时的吴有一位医生叫董奉,为人治病,不受报酬,对治愈的病人,只求为其种杏树几株,数年后蔚然成林。后世常用“杏林春满”或“誉满杏林”等语来称颂医家医术高明。写到这里,使我想起胡乔木同志1946年9月写
Read a piece of news on the second edition of Beijing Daily on November 11, 1991 titled “Chinese Medicine Hospital Becomes a National Xinglin Model Hospital.” The news wrote: “Chinese Medicine Hospital was recently named as the National Xinglin Model Hospital by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine” and was puzzled by the word “Xinglin”.
