建筑幕墙是现代建筑派的主要表现特征,在新世纪的现代化城市建筑中具有不可替代的艺术地位。幕墙因为不承受建筑主体结构水平和垂直方向荷载,幕墙的周边平面方向必须与主体间留有一定的间隙,来消除主体结构因不均匀沉降造成的沉降差、地震作用产生的楼层间位移和因季节温差变化产生的伸缩。因此,凡是幕墙建筑都有封边的问题。对建筑幕墙封边问题进行简要地探讨,同时对建筑幕墙火灾危害的剖析,阐明了积极防范幕墙建筑物火灾危险的重要性。
