他出生于玻利维亚东南部山村一个贫穷的印第安人家庭。童年时,他和兄弟姐妹们常常要靠捡拾经过村子的公共汽车上扔下的香蕉皮和橘子皮充饥。由于食物极度匮乏,他的另外6个兄弟姐妹只有2人得以存活。
He was born in a poor Indian family in the mountain village of southeastern Bolivia. Childhood, he and his brothers and sisters often rely on picking up the banana peel and orange peel thrown through the village bus hungry. Due to the extreme lack of food, only 2 of his 6 other siblings survived.
