刘庄(1932~2011)是新中国培养的第一代作曲家,1950年入上海音乐学院作曲系,师从丁善德、桑桐、邓尔敬教授,并在中央音乐学院苏联专家班学习作曲,先后在上海音乐学院、中央音乐学院任教,1970年调入中央乐团从事专业音乐创作。她的作品以体裁丰富、追求诗意和形象、饱含民族意蕴、风格简洁质朴、技法不断求新为主要特征。在作曲家众多脍炙人口的作品中,《变奏曲》是中国早期钢琴变奏曲中颇具代表性的佳作。该曲因
Liu Zhuang (1932 ~ 2011) was the first generation of composer cultivated by New China.
