中学英语教学的最终目的是培养学生的英语语言能力和运用英语进行交际的能力。从这一理念出发,笔者认为,初中英语教学改革首先要将传统的教学改造为平等、民主的教学,沟通合作的教学,互动创新的教学,促进学生全面和谐发展的教学;初中英语课堂,必须着力营造师生之间交往互动的教学氛围,构建在交际中学习语言的教学机制,实现从传统的重语言知识的教学向重交际运用的教学转轨,使英语教学成为“真正意义上的教学”。因此互动式课堂教学(interactive classroom teaching)已成为现代教学的主旋律。
