营养液育苗移栽是一项新的玉米栽培技术.选用的玉米品种是由玉米营养液育苗移栽所能争得的积温和当地的热量条件决定的,经试验研究求得玉米营养液育苗移栽能争得≥10℃的积温200~300℃,选择的品种所需的积温为当地80%保证率≥10℃的积温加上200~300℃.育苗期是培育适宜移栽的大苗壮苗的保证,育苗期由玉米幼苗生长发育速度及当地移栽期早晚决定的,从玉米籽摆盘到幼苗达4~5叶需20~25天,由当地气候适宜移栽期向前倒推20~25天即为育苗期,此时开始育苗幼苗长到4~5叶时当地即可达到气候适宜移栽期.气候适宜移栽期是移栽成活率高,不受霜冻危害的保证;气候适宜移栽期是由幼苗的抗寒能力及当地回暖早晚决定的.经试验和调查研究,玉米幼苗的冻死温度为-3℃。当空气最低温度(距地面1.5米处的气温)为0℃时,玉米幼苗的环境温度、即地面温度为-2.8~-2.9℃,所以,空气最低温在≤0℃绝对通过的日期即为气候适宜移栽期.
