4100柴油机气缸体,平均壁厚5到6毫米。毛重98公斤,形状复杂,生产中采用机器造型。最初出现砂眼、夹渣缺陷(绝大部份是砂眼),废品率高达50%左右。在很长一段时间内,我们绝大部份同志认为是型砂有问题,经过多次多方面的试验,否定了这个看法。又从芯砂上找问题,也无结果。后来又从造型、组芯、下芯、浇注等方面进行试验,仍然没有结果,废品率一直降不下来。
