多模态(Multimode)意为多种模态或多通道。作为一种教学理论,多模态是指利用多种渠道、多种教学手段来调动学习者多种感官协同运作,以达到加深印象强化记忆的目的。英文教学歌曲内容简洁、节奏轻快、形式多样,符合当今学生心理发展,但目前这一资源优势并未得到有效利用。因此,文章尝试通过多模态教学方式,用英文歌曲这个媒介把静态的资源(如文字、图片等)和动态的资源(如动作、语言、表情、声音、手势等)纳入外语教学过程,给学生以全方位的多感官的刺激,达到多层次的教学效果。
