通过应用各种组织化学技术,许多作者已证实在慢性中耳炎和渗出性中耳炎(OME)粘膜中存在着粘液质(mucosubstances),但对其命名无统一方案;且在不同类型的渗液中,酸碱度对中耳粘膜染色性的影响和组织化学不同,过去尚缺乏此种资料。作者们对不同类型OME的18个中耳粘膜活检切片,用alcian蓝及糖元(PAS)在不同的pH条件下染色,并用神经氨酸酶处理后重染色,以观察OME中耳粘膜中唾液粘蛋白和硫酸多糖的组织化学定位。
