“国际图书情报学理论与实践发展学术研讨会”于1993年5月21日-25日在中国江城武汉市召开。来自中国、美国、俄罗斯、英国、法国、香港等17个国家和地区的专家学者进行了热烈而务实的学术研讨,并就图书情报领城诸多的理论和实践问题达成了共识,促进了国际间的交流与合作,繁荣了学术,促动了学科世界意义的进步和发展。本刊记者有幸参加了会议.并采写综述,全面报导研讨会的盛况。另外,本刊选登了3篇极有代表性的学术文章,以期带给国内外学界同仁启迪和思考。
The International Symposium on the Development of Theory and Practice of Library and Information Science was held on May 21-May 25, 1993 in Wuhan, China. Experts and scholars from 17 countries and regions including China, the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, France and Hong Kong conducted a warm and pragmatic academic seminar and reached consensus on many theoretical and practical issues concerning the leading library and information industry. Exchange and cooperation, prosperity of the academic, and promote the progress and development of the world of science. Our reporter was fortunate enough to attend the meeting and write review, comprehensive coverage of the grand occasion of the seminar. In addition, we published three highly representative academic articles, with a view to bring enlightenment and reflection of domestic and foreign academic colleagues.
