As we all know, young animals can easily repair self-organization, this ability to recover in adults? Boston Children’s Hospital stem cell project, the latest research shows that it is entirely possible. By reactivating Lin28a, a dormant gene commonly found in embryonic stem cells, researchers regenerate the hair of a mouse model to repair cartilage, bone, skin and other soft tissues. The study also found that Lin28a plays a role in promoting tissue repair by increasing mitochondrial metabolism - an engine that produces energy in cells. This shows that a seemingly ordinary cell “housekeeping ” function, but can open a way to regenerative therapy
