在科学种田水平较低的地区,有些人却认为要增产只要施氮肥就行;而且是施得愈多愈好。其实不然,增产的因素是多方面的,就施肥而言,也大有文章,除注意氮磷钾合理配合和注意施肥方法等外,对如何充分提高化学氮肥的利用率也是当前生产中急待解决的问题。众所周知,施入土壤中的各种化学氮肥,并不是全部被作物吸收,有相当部分却被土壤中亚硝化细菌等微生物的硝化和反硝化作用而引起脱氮和淋溶损失。据科研资料表明,化学氮肥的利用率一般为30~50%,低的仅有20%左右。
