本文试图以隐喻认知为基点,对英汉“前”的空间隐喻拓展进行认知对比研究。方位词“前”是以空间原型为认知参照点,通过隐喻这一认知机制,实现其语义从空间概念向其他非空间域映射而产生引申义,即从空间域拓展到时间域、数量域、状态域和关系域中的表现。
This paper attempts to use metaphorical cognition as a starting point to conduct a comparative study of cognitive development of spatial metaphor between English and Chinese. Locative word “front ” is based on the prototype of the space as a cognitive reference point, through the cognitive mechanism of metaphor, to achieve its semantics from the concept of space to other non-spatial domain mapping derived extended meaning, that is, from the spatial domain to the time domain , Quantity domain, status domain, and relationship domain.
