王阳明是中国古代社会晚期的启蒙思想家,他的思想立场尽管是心学的,但却是更加开放的,包容的,他的整个思想理论体系不仅如黄宗羲所说的那样,能“范围朱、陆而进退之”(明儒学案·师说》),同时亦能将南宋以来事功学与心学融会贯通。(参见笔者《宋明事功学与心学及其合流——兼论王学的思想来源及性质》一文,载《东南文化》1986年第6期)他的思想充分体现了对孔子以来儒家传统思想文化的批判与继承的积极态度和创造性的理解。王阳明对儒学传统思想文化及其发展有着十分深刻的看法。在他看来,思想与文化的发展是继承与创造的统一,对孔子代表的儒家传统,一方面应着重继承其内在的活的精神,而不应执守和拘泥其外在的文字和语言,同时,对传统思想文化精神的继承又始终不离主体深造自得的原则。也正因为王阳明对传统思想文化有如此深刻的看法,他才能够在理论上超越前人,不仅集前代思想之大成,同时也对后来的思想产生深远的启迪和影响。因此,笔者认为,深入地探讨王阳明对传统思想文化的观点与思想,不仅对于我们进一步理解王阳明的整个学说有帮助,同时对于我们今天批判续承传统思想文化,亦有积极的借鉴意义。限于篇幅,本文并不打算就王阳明的传统思想文化观作出完整、系统的论述,只是就王阳明关于六经的看法及他的文化历史观中所体现出来的简易原则和精神谈谈自己的见解,以就教于方家。

It not only sets the culmination of the previous generation’s thoughts, but also has a far-reaching enlightenment and influence on later ideas. Therefore, I believe that in-depth discussion of Wang Yangming’s views and thoughts on traditional ideology and culture not only helps us to further understand Wang Yangming’s whole doctrine, but also serves as a positive reference for today’s criticism of the continuation of traditional ideology and culture. Due to space limitations, this article does not intend to make a complete and systematic exposition of Wang Yangming’s traditional ideas and culture, but only talks about Wang Yangming’s views on the Six Categories and his simple principles and spirits embodied in his cultural and historical views, To teach in Fang Fang.
