英语文学是由英国语言和文学组成的学科,具有二者的双重作用。英语文学不但是人文学科的重要组成部分,也是人的成长旅途中不可缺少的。它能够激发人的灵活性,创新性,能够培养人文素质修养。英语语言文学的学习不仅仅是文学知识的积累和对文字的理解。更是一种能力和素质的培养,传统教学中通常是老师输出知识,学生一味的接收,这显然不利于培养学生的主观性和创造性,学生处于被动的地位。所以在当今的英语文学教学中,要更加注重学生的主观能动性的培养,逐渐的突破传统的以教师为中心的授课模式。
English literature is a discipline composed of English language and literature, which has the dual role of both. English literature is not only an important part of the humanities, but also an indispensable part of the human journey of growth. It can stimulate people’s flexibility, innovation, ability to cultivate humanistic accomplishments. The study of English language and literature is not only the accumulation of literary knowledge and the understanding of words. But also a kind of ability and quality training. In the traditional teaching, it is usually the teacher’s output of knowledge that the students blindly receive. This is obviously not conducive to cultivating students’ subjectivity and creativity, and students are in a passive position. Therefore, in today’s teaching of English literature, we should pay more attention to the cultivation of students’ subjective initiative and gradually break through the traditional teacher-centered teaching mode.
