In the past year, I have been inspired by Mr. Xie Yong’s academic monograph “Southwest Associated University and Chinese Intellectuals” (Hunan Literature and Art Publishing House, November 1998) and started to pay attention to the fate of Chinese liberal intellectuals. Mr. Xie Yong is a young scholar who is good at independent thinking and rigorous scholarship. In this monograph, he has objectively and plainly strokes and a large number of little-known preciousness.
