一般书本都讲龟背竹喜荫、喜湿润,大伏天如在阳光下直射,叶片会发生焦黄。但我在4～5年前一次偶然的疏忽中,却发现龟背竹并不那么怕太阳直射。初夏,我把龟背竹放在朝南的外阳台上,阳光非常充足,一般日照5～6小时,因地方较小,到盛夏忘了拿到荫凉处。但意外的是龟背竹在不缺水的情况下任凭太阳直射,竟生长得很好,且叶片大而墨绿,节间明显变短,株形非常矮小。我把这一发现告诉几位花友,他们原先不信,但试验结果都很满意。关键
